We have switched our domain name to sarm.tech
Did you know a .com or .net domain can be taken down and seized for any reason, by any government entity, or really by anyone for almost any reason?
The internet is global, yet .NET and .COM domains (among others) are completely under the control of … guess who?
The US government “says it has the right to seize any .com, .net and .org domain name because the companies that have the contracts to administer them are based on United States soil, according to Nicole Navas, US Customs Enforcement” (source).
Check out Uncle Sam: If It Ends in .Com, It’s .Seizable at Wired.com for yet another fascinating and horrifying examination of excessive overreach by the US government.
In a nutshell, any domain name is suceptible to seizure. If sarm.tech ever becomes unreachable, we have backups, and we’ll notify our customers by email.
